Workshopwochenende in Berlin

Das Projekt ConnACTion lädt junge Menschen im Alter zwischen 16 und 27 Jahren zu einem künstlerisch, kreativen und klimagerechten Wochenende von 22.06. – 23.06. in Berlin ein! Lerne das Projekt ConnACTion kennen und gestalte mit uns kreative, künstlerische Aktionen zum Thema Klimagerechtigkeit. Wie das aussehen könnte, zeigen dir Laura, Dodo, Farina und Selina am Wochenende. Samstag veranstalten Laura & Dodo einen Empowerment Workshop für Schwarze Menschen, People of Color, Menschen mit einer Migrationsgeschichte und weitere Menschen, die ebenfalls von Rassismus betroffen sind. Fina bietet dazu parallel einen Workshop zum Thema Kritisches Weißsein an. Dieser Workshop richtet sich an weiße Menschen. Sonntag geht es dann weiter mit einem Poetry Workshop von Selina Diaby. Dieser Workshop ist offen für alle Menschen.

The ConnACTion project invites young people between the ages of 16 and 27 to an artistic, creative and climate-just weekend in Berlin from 22.06. – 23.06.! Get to know the ConnACTion project and join us in doing creative, artistic activities on the topic of climate justice. Laura, Dodo, Farina and Selina will show you what this could look like this weekend. On Saturday, Laura & Dodo will be holding an empowerment workshop for Black people, people of color, immigrants and other people who are also affected by racism. Fina is offering a workshop on the topic of critical whiteness. This workshop is aimed at white people. On Sunday, the event will continue with a poetry workshop by Selina Diaby. This workshop is open to all young people. Our event will take place at Spreefeld. There will be vegan catering. The event is free of charge for you.

Details zu den geplanten Workshops/About Workshops:

Essen ist allgegenwärtig und fester Bestandteil unseres Lebens. Es verbindet und trennt uns. Essen ist auch emotional aufgeladen. Wir verbinden Geschmäcker mit bestimmten Erlebnissen und manche Gerichte erinnern uns an Schmerz, Freude, Geborgenheit, Kindheit, Herkunft. Vermissen wir Gerichte aus unseren Heimatländern, oder denen unserer Eltern?

Essen hängt aber auch mit dem Klima zusammen. Was kaufen wir aus Klimagründen? Die Bio-Gurke und nur regionale Lebensmittel oder können wir uns diese Gedanken im Alltag gar nicht leisten?

Wo erkennen wir koloniale Kontinuitäten, wenn es um unsere Ernährung geht? Was ist bspw. das Problem an Soja? Achten wir bei unserer Ernährung auf strukturelle Ungleichheiten, die Tiere, Umwelt und Menschen betreffen?

Im Workshop wollen wir gemeinsam Antworten oder weiterführende Gedanken auf diese Fragen erarbeiten, indem wir unseren Körper und unsere Sinne aktivieren und kollektiv unser Wissen teilen.

Im Anschluss gibt es Raum, um Ideen und Impulse für die Gestaltung eines gemeinsamen Community-Dinner zu sammeln.

Food from an anti-colonial perspective with Laura and Dodo

Food is omnipresent and an integral part of our lives. It connects and separates us. Food is also emotionally charged. We associate flavors with certain experiences and some dishes remind us of pain, joy, security, childhood, origins. Do we miss dishes from our home countries or those of our parents? But food is also linked to the climate. What do we buy for climate reasons? The organic cucumber and only regional food or can we not afford these thoughts in everyday life?

Where do we recognize colonial continuities when it comes to our diet? What is the problem with soy, for example? Do we pay attention to structural inequalities in our diet that affect animals, the environment and people?

In the workshop, we want to work together to find answers or further thoughts to these questions by activating our bodies and senses and collectively sharing our knowledge. Afterwards, there will be space to collect ideas and impulses for the design of a joint community dinner.

Über Dodo

Dodo forscht und arbeitet dekolonial als Bildungsreferent*in im Bereich Klima-, Naturschutz, Rassismuskritik und Rechtsextremismus. Dodo ist klimapolitisch aktiv und setzt sich dafür ein, dass die koloniale und rassistische Dimension der Klimakrise im Fokus von Klimafragen steht. Dodo ist Co-Autor*in der Broschüre “Kolonialismus und Klimakrise. Über 500 Jahre Widerstand” sowie der Publikation “Ich kehre millionenfach zurück! In Würdigung des antikolonialen Widerstands.” im Rahmen des Projektes KlimaDeSol.

In ihrem Workshop gibt Farina einen Input zu Diskriminierungssensibilisierung und Kritisches Weißsein für weiße Menschen. Gleichzeitig lädt sie euch dazu ein, eure eigene gesellschaftspolitische Positionierung und eure Emotionen und (Lern-) Prozesse in Hinblick auf Rassismus zu reflektieren und in den Austausch darüber miteinander zu gehen.

Über Farina

Farina (sie/sie) ist eine nigerianisch-deutsche Rednerin und Workshopleiterin für Kritisches Weißsein, Empowerment und kulturelle Bildung in den Bereichen Songwriting, Gesang und Film. Ihr intersektionaler Ansatz basiert stets auf antikolonialen und queerfeministischen Theorien, die sie mit afro-diasporischen Perspektiven verknüpft. Sie macht Voice Acting, schreibt und ist Podcast-Moderatorin.

Critical Whiteness with Farina

In her workshop, Farina will provide input on anti-discrimination and critical whiteness for white people. At the same time, she invites you to reflect on your own socio-political positioning and your emotions and (learning) processes with regard to racism and to enter into an exchange with each other. Farina (she/her) is a Nigerian-German speaker and workshop instructor for critical whiteness, empowerment and cultural education in the fields of songwriting, singing and film. Her intersectional approach is always based on anti-colonial and queerfeminist theories, which she combines with Afro-diasporic perspectives. She does voice acting, writes and is a podcast presenter.

Fatim Selina Diaby arbeitet als Projektleitung bei der BUNDjugend zu den Themen Klimagerechtigkeit, Kapitalismuskritik und Dekolonialisierung. Als Teil mehrerer Schwarzer/BIPoC*-Kollektive organisiert sich Fatim Selina zudem klimagerecht und anti-rassistisch an der Schnittstelle von Gesundheits-, Klima- und racial Gerechtigkeit. Das Schreiben ist ein weiteres Mittel, mit dem sie Räume und Strukturen der Unterdrückung aufbricht. Sie hinterfragt Binaritäten und scheint Licht in die oft verborgenen und unsichtbar gemachten Zwischenräume unserer Identitäten. Ihre Texte und Gedichte behandeln (Un)Gerechtigkeit, dekolonialen Feminismus, Widerstand, Zugehörigkeit, Deutschsein und Trauer.

Poetry Writing with Selina

Fatim Selina Diaby works as a project leader at BUNDjugend on the topics of climate justice, critique of capitalism and decolonization. As part of several Black/BIPoC* collectives, Fatim Selina also organizes for climate justice and anti-racism at the intersection of health, climate and racial justice. Writing is another means by which she breaks open spaces and structures of oppression. She questions binaries and shines light into the often hidden and invisibilized in-between spaces of our identities. Her texts and poems deal with (in)justice, decolonial feminism, resistance, belonging, Germanness and grief.

Die Veranstaltungsräume sind barrierearm zugänglich.

Es wird eine vegane Verpflegung bereitgestellt.

Wir wollen unsere Räume insbesondere für Rassismusbetreffone als “safer space” gestalten. Daher bieten wir einerseits einen Space an, in dem Rassismusbetroffene unter sich sein können. Andererseits findet auf unserer Veranstaltung ein Awareness-Konzept Anwendung, wenn der Fall einer unbewussten/bewussten Grenzverletzung eintritt. Dabei haben der Schutz und die Bedürfnisse von betroffenen Menschen absolute Priorität.

Our event takes place in barrier-free rooms. We want to create our rooms as a “safer space”, especially for people affected by racism. Therefore, on the one hand, we offer a space where people affected by racism can be among themselves in order to share experiences and enter into a healing process together. On the other hand, an awareness concept is applied at our event in the event of an unconscious/conscious violation of boundaries. The protection and needs of the people affected have absolute priority.

The event will be held in German spoken language. Translating in English is possible.
